Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is required to measure the stroke volume and the compression space of an automobile engine to determine its compression ratio, which is a very important parameter for engine performance and fuel consumption rate. A new instrument was developed to measure a cylinder volume by applying the pressure variation method. In this paper, theoretical and experimental investigations in this new instrument are reported.
