Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is important to investigate the selective listening ability for hearing impaired, and methods for hearing ability of daily complex sounds. This paper describes two selective listening experiments using ten daily non-verbal sounds. The experiments were conducted by two methods. One is that the target signal is presented before mixed sounds, and the other is that the target signal is presented after mixed sounds. Subjects were forced to give their answer yes or no for the question whether the mixed sounds contained the target signal. We quantitatively confirmed that as the number of masking sounds increased, the selective listening effect deceased. And we made clear the difference in the selective listening effects between the two experimental methods.
