Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | People in China and Japan use same Chinese characters. Here we investigate the original meaning and its historical change of the characters 「音」, 「言」, 「声」, 「楽」, 「饗(〓)」 concerning sound. There are some differences and confusions for the meaning and image of these characters in two countries. We also investigate the correspondence of Japanese words 「オト」, 「コエ」, 「ヒビキ」 to the above Chinese characters. |
