Non-Contact Measurement Method of Vibrating Velocity Distribution of Elastic Body

Abstract(in English) This paper describes a new method for non-contact measurement of particle velocity distributions along the elastic bar excited by a PZT transducer.By analyzing two measured signals obtained by a Laser Doppler Velocimeter(LDV)from two incident angles,the particle velocity distributions for each of the two components, normal and parallel to the bar axis,can be separately obtained.The principle of the measurement method is described and it is confirmed experimentally with the Langevin type PZT transducer of a resonant frequency of 17kHz.
