Observation of the sound propagation behavior by means of visualization technique

Abstract(in English) Numerical characterizations and modeling of sound fields in rooms or noise propagation have become increasingly important in recent years. This is mainly due to fast development in computer technology, and we have had a suitable background knowledge of its applications to these problems. In this paper, the application of the visualization technique for the numerical results obtained by the computer is described. The Bergeron method, in which the sound field is represented by the electrical equivalent circuit corresponding to the equation of the sound field, is applied to "Diffraction sound field by double barriers" and "Whispering gallery". And instantaneous sound pressure responses obtained by these models are transformed to still picture. Then they were displayed continuously such as an animation to observe the sound propagation behavior.
