Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This Paper describes, an investigation of characteristic or false alarm in word spotting. Pole in key words and gross features of speech spectrum are mainly discussed. It makes the detection of consonant difficult that the pole of the LPC spectra of vowels in V-C-V connected speech are observed in the consonant region. On the other hand, the slope of the power spectrum is different between consonant region and vowl region. The use of spectral slope is considered to be useful to detect consonant region in continuous speech.
