Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This study deals with time-frequency analysis for speech using wavelet transform. General wavelet transform has better performance of resolution for time and frequency. However, detection of pitches is difficult in noisy environment. Though signal specific analyzing wavelet which has the characteristics of the target signal has proposed to pick up the characteristics of speech, the general wavelet transform which is applied to the signal specific analyzing wavelet outputs the ripples of power along the time axis in time-frequency domain. This phenomenon causes the error of pitch tracking. For reducing the error, the harmonic wavelet transform is proposed to apply the signal specific analyzing wavelet. As the results of comparing with Gabor wavelet transform, the proposed method improved a ratio of pitch detection from 16.4% to 62.4% at SNR=-5dB.
