Fast Meyer's Wavelet Transform using a Modified FIR Structure

Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a fast wavelet transform method of Meyer's wavelet which does not have a fast algorithm in the decomposition and reconstruction of signals. We introduce a FIR digital filter structure using all-pass networks whose phase is a linear function of of logarithmic frequency(logω). Then we arrange the Meyer's wavelets in logarithmic frequency periodically with one octave period, and each wavelet is expanded into a Fourier series. The advantages of this structure are (1) it is originally suitable for parallel computation and (2) frequency characteristics of wavelets are expressed in terms of logarithmic frequency.
