Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This study has developed XML speech databases that can be employed for a multilingual speech synthesis application. This study also developed a speech synthesis system that employs the databases. The system processes an XML data as a list, which is the data type used in our Lisp environment. The system is a client/server system where the client plays speech data that are synthesized in the server and transmitted via WAN.
