Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Silk Route is a middle-ware system designed for XML publishing, which is the task of transforming the relational data into XML for the purpose of exchange over the Internet. SilkRoute features a declarative query language and various query evaluation techniques to support both of virtual and materialized XML views of relational databases. In this paper, we outline materialized view construction with Silkroute. In particular, we focus on how SilkRoute produces efficient plans, without having control over the target RDBMS. |
