Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The number of e-shopping sites has been drastically increasing by the growth of the Internet. It is, however, distressing for consumers to select and purchase goods from a lot of sites and from a pile of catalogs because the comparison tasks are time-consuming and tire them. Especially for ladies to select their dresses in the Internet shopping, the tasks are time-consuming. To solve the problem, the paper proposes an intelligent navigation system named e-Stylist to select dresses. Input HTML catalogs, the e-Stylist system evaluates them and selects good ones based on consumer's requirements. Then the e-Stylist system restructures the catalogs to display them in a unified format. Internally, the system extracts semantic structures from HTML catalog files and expresses the semantic information on the same scheme. In the paper, we first make an evaluation process model to select and purchase dresses. Then we describe a system architecture of a design evaluation part in our e-Stylist system which was designed based on the evaluation process model.
