3D Object Retrieval based on Shape Similarity

Abstract(in English) With the growth of computer power and network communication, it is expected that modeling and re-using the three-dimensional objects increase and becomes important that the technique searching and managing a large amount of 3D model data. We are studying the 3D shape similarity search and developing the fast 3D object retrieval system on a large amount of model data. In this paper, we evaluate the retrieval accuracy of multiple shape features and examine the relation between the accuracy and dimension of each feature. We extract three types of feature vectors from the 3D model data constructed from triangle and discuss the shape similarity search matching human's perception.
