Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Based on the computerization of cartographic information and the progress of global positioning systems(GPS) and hand-held devices, there are growing needs of technology which provides appropriate information according to the positions of moving objects. In this paper, we propose an information service model that considers the route of a moving object and presents the neighborhood information based on its current position. First we describe an influence decay model of positional information. Then we provide some query generation models to retrieve current neighborhood items from spatial databases. Finally we show incremental query refinement procedures to provide continual query facilitics with low update costs.
