Abstract(in English) The distance learning type lifelong-learning support system has been realized on the Okayama information highway for improving information literacy. As in paper textbooks, it is important for users to attach personal information such memos and markers with a common electronic materials:that is, some knowledge hierarchy. Further, by monitoring contents of questions and answers, group discussion and group learning, and learning histories, we can extract improvements of teaching materials, teaching strategies, and knowledge hierarchies. In this paper, we discuss its effectiveness and extensions from a teaching and learning materials point of view.
