Abstract(in English) This paper describes a TV program generation system using digest video scenes that are retrieved as data from video streams with the program indexes. The key feature of the system is personal TV program generation base on the following features:(1)TV programs can be dynamically generated from digest video scenes selected by user perferences;(2)Directions can be added using a happiness or sadness level based on the user preferences;and (3)Directions such as program presenter characters and camera operations can be described, as shown in S-XML. This paper explains four system functions, whioch are (1)Conjunctive expressions between scenes and scene switching operations can be automatically generated using indexes, (2)Based on S-XML, synchronization among contents can be described just as in SMIL, and emotional expressions can be automatically generated using user preference, (3)Direction templates can be used to direct emotional expressions, and (4)Both SMIL and TVML players can be controlled by the system.
