Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Due to the recent development of network technologies, database migration is becoming one of the most important operations for distributed transaction processing. In our previous work, we have proposed location management methods for migratory databases, assuming environments where database replicas do not exist. However, in conventional database systems, replication of databases is considered as one of the effective techniques to improve the transaction processing throughput. In this paper, we propose location management methods for replicas to be used when we dynamically relocate database replicas using database migration. We also show simulation results regarding performance evaluation of our proposed methods.
