Abstract(in English) To prevent illegal use and promote distribution of digital contents, compound contents with usage restrictions are discussed. In this paper, we propose a new contents server model for retrieving with condition about both contents and usage restrictions, and synchronizing distributed contents and usage restrictions based on distribution history. This model treats contents and usage restrictions separately. This makes contents retrieval effective with separate indices of contents and usage restrictions, and makes management for modifing contents and usage restrictions easy and adapitive. This paper also discribes the prototype system called 'iSquare', which is based on the contents server model we propose.
