| Abstract(in English) | With the development of networking infrastructure, there is strong demand for the integration and the location transparent access to the enterprise information from the distributed sources with different schemas. But the heterogeneity of these information sources makes it difficult for an application program to access and use the information uniformly. This paper describes an information integration system called InfoLens which gives an infrastructure for unified use of heterogeneous and distributed data. InfoLens provides the common interface for abstract data types by dividing them into logically meaningful units. The scheme we develop to cope with heterogeneity at the semantic level is also described. |
