Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Data mining, a technology to discover knowledge from massive amounts of data, is receiving much attention. In this paper, we evaluate the effect of distributed shared memory with log based consistency scheme which we proposed in the highly parallel and distributed processing environment VISIONA (Virtual Shared Memory Environment for Scalable Data Mining Applications). VISIONA aims to provide easiness to develop scalable programs from small to large scale of data mining. And we also propose distributed shared buffer cache according to another result which shows that data read time is not small in data mining applications.
