Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In distributed database of access control systems, it is usual to improve the system availability by storing the replica in each site. We propose a new replication management method to utilize characteristics of the transactions in access control systems and compare the availability of proposed method with that of the conventional method theoretically. The replication management method based on update number table makes it possible to transfer the replica to the other site quickly when data is updated in one site. A prototype system is developed by using personal computer and standard database software to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed method.
