Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose the archetecture of Paradocs, a database system for managing structured documents with object links. The object links are bilateral logical links between character strings in documents and corresponding database values. Structured documents often contain character strings which has direct correspondence with other values in database. By building object links we could have more expressible queries. Our purpose of this research is while creating and managing documents, we treat the content of documents as same level as objects in database using database technology. We also report the results of implementation of a new ADT, called PARATEXT, on the object relational database system PREDATOR, which has been developed at Cornell University.
