Abstract(in English) Advanced Information Retrieval Systems are expected now.Some types of the systems are Multimedia Information Retrieval Systems. We will be able to get the information which is represented by the various communication media,such that audio,video,text and images, from the systems.But we might take large unnecessary information from the databases even if we use the traditional information retrieval methods.Because such systems have large amount redundant data in their databases.We propose a new method of the information retrieval for multimedia news databases.It is based on the our proposed new Information Space Model,we call MVIS(MultiViewpoint Information Space).We described about the prototype system which is based on the retrieval method for news data.Furthermore we proposed about a performance evaluation teqniaue for the information retrieval method in this paper.
