Recursive Query Searching for Taxonomy Databases

Abstract(in English) Taxonomy databases represented by a tree structure are powerful electronic dictionaries which aid in biological research by computer.These databases are actively constructed with the DNA data bases of the international DNA data banks in biological advancements.This paper describes recursive query searchings which are important technologies to construct and manage these taxonomy database with a relational format.We classified two types of searchings which have local and global search functions.Both functions was implemented as stored procedure of Sybase.Moreover, this paper shows several execution traces to clarify these recursive query searchings.
