| 抄録(和) | シグネチャファイル(signature file)は、高速な全文検索のために考察された索引機構のひとつである。シグネチャファイルについてはこれまで、理論的な側面からの研究や試作などは行なわれてきているが、汎用のDBMSへの組み込みはほとんどなされていない。今回、筆者らは、汎用DBMSであるG-BASEに、シグネチャファイルの機構を実装した。筆者らの知る限り、商用のDBMSにこの索引機構が実装されたのは、これが初めてのことである。本稿では、G-BASEにおけるシグネチャファイルの実装方法と、その性能、実用化されているシステムの事例などについて説明、紹介する。 |
| 抄録(英) | Signature file is an access method designed for full text retrieval.For this access method,there are some discussions on performance analysis and experimental implementation in the literature.However,there are few implementation embedded into a DBMS for practical use. Lately,the authors have implemented a signature file access method and embedded it into the extended relational DBMS G-BASE.To the best of the authors′ knowledge,this is the first experience of implementation of this access method embedded in a commercial DBMS product. This paper describes the implementation technique of the signature file access method embedded into G-BASE. |
