| Abstract(in English) | AT&T has introduced a series of massively parallel computer systems,S3000 MPP,as general purpose computers for the 1990s. Massively parallel processing technology is becoming increasingly essential for very large database systems.Teradata DBMS running on AT&T 3600 is one of the most advanced DBMSs that exploit both hardware and software parallelism.This paper describes the software architecture of the Teradata DBMS.It also describes how Teradata has been used to build strategic information systems to solve various real life problems. |
