Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In a data model for scientific database management system "DREAM" (DREAM model), data is stored as a data element. An object is a set of data elements with names. A set of objects is treated as a bundle. In this paper, we evaluate DREAM model by comparing with other data models as to data sharing, components of a model, and management of a set of objects. As a result, the following features are revealed. First, a data value is the most important element in this model. Second, the model has constructors for adding a name to a data element, gathering a set of data on the same target, etc. Finally, exceptional objects as well as ordinal ones can be managed in a set of objects.
