Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Today's computer internetwork includes very many information bases, which are database servers of various multimedia information. In general, these information-bases do not have global and integrated interfaces. Consequently various assistant functions, so-called mediators, are necessary in order to help human users freely manipulate heterogeneous information bases. This paper discusses such a mediator for mobile-computer users. To realize such a mobile mediator, this paper proposes a script language having persistent object managers, and then describes a mediator architecture using the script language.
