Abstract(in English) Nowadays, multimedia information service though computer networks attracts a great deal of public attention. Based on high speed networks, the implementation of Video-On-Demand systems has been extensively done aiming at next generation new multimedia information service. As one of such fully interactive information service applications, we are now developing a News-On-Demand (NOD) system, which will easily provide re-composed news information required from users, and support navigation mechanisms from TV news to various other information sources such as on-line news papers. In this paper, we discuss important design issues of TV news database for realizing multifarious query requests and TV news re-composing mechanisms.
