Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | We propose a model for an intelligent parallel transaction management system, and an implementation method of the system using a parallel logic programming language, KL1. Items in a database, nested transactions themselves, firing controls of active rules, and entries of a lock table are treated as sets of autonomous objects. We analyze messages among these objects, and mechanisms for detecting deadlocks and logging. KL1 is suitable for representing the system, since a perpetual process of KL1 directly corresponds to an object, and logical variables shared among the processes can be used for passing messages. |
