| Abstract(in English) | In this paper we will discuss query processing problems for distributed databases with mobile sites. Due to the power saving requirement for moving sites, there are asymmetic cost functions for communication and thus we have to solve a new problem. As data transmission is the major factor to consume power, reduction of the amount of transmission is very important. We use semi-join methods with data compression technique for power reduction. Futhermore, use of back-up data stpred at fixed sites is also discussed. |
