| Abstract(in English) | In this paper we give a framework for scientific database systems that supports the functions to provide multiple aspects with the semi-structured raw data stored in the database,and to maintain the integrity of the system against incremental database structure organization.We first define attributes with aspects,and propose a new notion of objects with aspects as unit components for handling these scientific data.Objects with aspects are objects generated from several users′ aspects given on those data. Aspects are embedded in a is_-a hierarchy,which gives various views for objects with aspects.To efficiently generate and classify objects including anchor objects,we also suggest the notion of active markers,and discuss their implementation issues. The active marker is implemented by Event-Condition-Action rules, which are to maintain the integrity of database structure and object classification.We,finally,show prototype systems for ancient wooden slips in China,as representative historical objects, over a commercial OODBMS Gem Stone. |
