Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper we propose PDAI&CD architecture aimed to construct natural inference systems. The kernel of it consists of mutually associative neural network processing numerical patterns and logical part processing symbols. The associative part evokes context-dependent free-association of concepts based on the relations of concepts acquired from the outer world changing dynamically. In the logical part, thus obatined results are checked, and emerging contradictions cause feedback to the associative network finding the optimum solutions finally.WAVE,the concrete implemented system,is introduced, and we show the application to the ambiguity resolution problem of natural language understanding. We also illustrate the application to the character recognition system and examine the role of WAVE as a database system.
