High Reliable Data Transfer Path Management Methods For RAID3 Type of Disk Arrays

Abstract(in English) Four kinds of high reliable management methods for duplicated groups of data transfer paths in RAID3 type of disk arrays with simultaneous data transfer mechanisms are presented and evaluated. Simultaneous data transfer mechanisms enable to simplify the structure of control software because the mechanisms enable to consider one disk array as one virtual disk.However,in such environments,when update processes are executed through one group of transfer paths including failed paths and read processes are executed through the other group,unupdated data are read.The presented management methods aim at solving this problem. Quantitative analyses show that each managemant method should be selected according to the application fields of disk arrays because each management method has its merits and demerits in viewpoints of reliability and performance.
