| Abstract(in English) | This paper presents an implementation method of a parallel processing system for supporting a wide variety of database applications.This system provides facilities to describe application-specific database operations and data structures in a functional programming way and to execute queries in parallel in the framework of functional computations. We have proposed the primitive set for parallel query processing. This primitive set is provided to realize the parallel processing system on arbitrary general purpose hardware environments.We can choose a hardware environment for this system reflecting requirements for the database application and advance of the hardware technology. |
