Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | We have proposed the time interval data model which represents the real world in terms of time intervals. This model allows us to express many temporal queries by applying operations to the intervals. It is essential that a temporal query language should be user-friendly and provide rich expression power. In this paper, we compare the time interval data model with TSQL2 on nine properties of data selection power. The comparison discloses that the data selection power in the time interval data model is nearly equal to that of TSQL2. |
