Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In our previous paper, we have proposed a data management model MobiView, which integrates distributed data in a network for handy terminals with wireless communication equipments. Moreover, in order to implement a MobiView system using an AMDS(Active Mobile Database System) as an infrastructure for data management, we have implemented a compiler that translates the MVDL(MobiView Definition Language) to a set of ECA rules. However, a user must set up the compiled ECA rules in his/her terminal manually and can not use MobiView immediately. In this paper, we first propose an ECA rule delivery mechanism which is supplemented to the AMDS. Then, we describe our design and implementation of the mechanism, which forwards a set of ECA rules to a set of terminals in a mobile computing environment. With this ECA rule delivery mechanism, various functions of MobiView can be realized.
