Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Technologies of handling multimedia data are now widely and effectively used through various communication media such as WWW. Among them, the technology of animation using multimedia data is very important because it enables to present dynamic change of information, and therefore the research and development for this technology has been intensively performed. However, any currently available technique demands users to specify detailed indication of composing multimedia data, and it is generally complex to construct a large-scaled animation. Therefore, it is highly required to develop an automatic composition method of multimedia data for constructing animation. In this paper, first we propose a technique to analyze scenario by using a knowledge-base system. Then, based on our proposing technique, we show our design and implementation of a system to construct animation automatically from scenario description written in natural language.
