Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Data mining has been paid attention as a technique for introducing business success. Up to date, data mining algorithms, such as the association rule, have been enhanced especially for view point of rule generation performance. Rule refinement process which create useful knowledge becomes much more important for knowledge discovery. Roles of rule generation and rule refinement, should be shared with machine and human because of their strong point. To generate candidate rules from large volume of data, machine power is useful. But, perceptual and cognitive capabilities and background knowledge which are strong point of human are indispensable for rule refinement. In this paper, we propose a visual data mining support system for rule refinement through co-operation with machine and human abilities.
