Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A lot of instructional material exists on network. But such distributed instructional material is developed on different platform which makes it to difficult for a learner to study these instructional materials. We are developing a intelligent learning environment in order to enable a learner to study distributed heterogeneous instructional material using distributed object technology, CORBA. In this paper we describe the requirements for querying instructional material in distributed instructional databases and discuss the ability of using Naming service or Query service proposed by OMG. In order to seek a name managed in Naming service from a search condition we propose the global thesaurus and introduce the query method using a global thesaurus.
