Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently several researchers have investigated the potential for using acoustic radiation force to image tissue mechanical properties. On the other hand, we have developed a novel phased tracking method to transcutaneously measure a minute displacement generated in the arterial wall and heart wall during one heartbeat with an accuracy of several tenth micrometers. In this report, the minute displacement of several micrometers which was generated in a silicone rubber by applying the radiation force was successfully measured by the phased tracking method.
