Measurement of laser induced surface waves on the cylindrical surface

Abstract(in English) Elastic waves induced by a line focused pulse laser beam have been observed. Using cylindrical alminium sample, longitudinal, shear and Rayleigh waves were clearly detected by P(VDF-TrFE) film sensor. The roughness and contact material on the propagation surface showed clear influence on the amplitude of Rayleigh waves.
