Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Shear-horizontal surface acoustic wave (SH-SAW) can detect liquid properties, such as density and viscosity products, relative permittivity, and conductivity. This paper describes the method how to separate the density and viscosity using the SH-SAW sensor. For the purpose, texture (or sagittal corrugation) propagation surface was designed to trap the liquid in the hollow structure. Although the smooth surface is influenced by the density and viscosity products, the texture surface is influenced by both the density and viscosity products, and density by trapping in the hollow structure. Therefore, detecting the differential signal between texture and smooth surfaces separated liquid density and viscosity. |
