Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The purpose of the present investigation is to propose asymptotic representations in both time-domein and frequency-domain for calculating the sound propagation in shallow water, with the sound velocity increasing exponentially from the sea surface to the bottom. We derive the asymptotic solutions for acoustical rays reflected both at the surface and the bottom and those which are reflected only at the sea surface, the uniform solution applicable near the ray caustic, the complex ray solution, the bottom diffracted ray solution and the lateral wave solution. Comparisons of the asymptotic solutions with the mode solution confirm the validity and the numerical efficiency of the proposed solutions. The influence of the bottom loss is also clarified.
