Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Shear wave velocity is one of important parameters to evaluate the physical properties of marine sediment. In this study, a new measuring method of shear wave velocity of marine sediment using radiation impedance is proposed. Next, the usefullness of this method is shown by the measured results for three kinds of urethene rubber with different JIS hardness. And it is indicated that the measured results of shear wave velocity for dry beach sand and water saturated beach sand are different, and the measured results of shear wave velocity using two kinds of circular vibrating plate with different radii. Moreovcr, the measurements for layered media in which dry beach sand is covered with dry clay are done, and the relationship between the thickness of dry clay and the shear wave velocity derived from the measurements of radiation impedance is investigatcd.
