An equivalent circuit description of piezo-electric flexurally- vibrating bar gyroscopes considering the change of vibrating direction by mode coupling

Abstract(in English) The mechanical coupling due to the asymmetric structure,the internal stress and the support in the flexurally-vibrating bar, generate a leakage output in the piezoelectric vibratory gyroscope. A spurious component of the force factor also generates the output. The vibrating direction of the vibrator is changed slightly by these coupling factors.In this paper,an equivalent circuit of flexurally-vibrating bar gyroscopes is described by paying attention to the actual vibration modes the vibrating direction of which is changed by the coupling factors.The circuits are described for the some gyroscope constructions with different drive-detection methods.The relation between mechanical coupling quantity and change of vibrating direction,is calculated quantitatively by using the circuits.The diffrence in these methods is clarified by comparing their equivalent circuits.
