Detection of Weak Resonant-Modes in Piezoelectric Plates based on Surface Charge Measurement

Abstract(in English) This paper describes a measurement technique that detects the weak spurious-modes in quartz plates. This method is based on the measurement of the frequency characteristics of the surface charges. A probing box has been developed for detecting the charge at many points on the plate surface. The measured results for strip AT-cut quartz resonators demonstrated that the proposed technique has ability to detect very small resonances that could not detected by the previous methods.
