Abstract(in English) | Piezoelectric transformer using energy trapping of width-shear vibration-in LiNbO_3 plate was proposed.Vibrational energy of a transformer is confined to a electrode portion on the center of the piezoelectric plate,so both sides of the plate can be supported.Forming periodic inter digital electrodes of transducers (IDTs) on transformer,low loss transformer could be obtained. This paper describes internal loss and power transmission characteristic of transformer.The effect of the number of IDTs, electrode size,chipping size and cutting point accuracy of a plate on a transformer were investigated by experiment and theoretical analysis. |
