Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An active sound control method applicable for free-field applications in water,or active power control method characterized by the mutual radiation impedance between piston sources,is investigated theoretically and experimentally. In order to realize an active power control system.additional sources are arranged close to a noise source. The mutual radiation impedance is computed as a function of the spacing of pistons and its effect on sound power attenuation is shown for several piston arrangements.Test array sources consisting of 5 circular Langevin transducers are constructed.Active power attenuation in the 13.5dB range is attained at f=10kHz.
