Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Measurement of impulse response of acoustic emission transducers is essential for quantitative analysis of acoustic emission waveforms. Using complex reciprocity parameters newly derived for the reciprocity calibration, amplitude and phase characteristics of absolute sensitivity were determined, and impulse response was obtained through inverse Fourier transform. Calibration results were confirmed by the expperiments, where a pencil lead breaking was employed for the source of elastic waves. Impulse responses of acoustic emission transducers to both the Rayleigh and longitudinal waves were obtained by means of purely electrical measurements without the use of mechanical sound sources or reference transducers.
