Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) On the basis of a propagating wave analysis, a simple method of acoustic impedance determination of material deposited on one face of a resonator was presented. In addition, an algorithm to determine the resonant parameters of the resonator from the measured frequency spectrum of the electrical impedance was provided. Using this method, the temperature dependence of the shear viscosity and modulus for homeotropically aligned liquid crystals (cyanobiphenyl series, 7~10CB) at 10, 30 and 50MHz was determined. In the vicinity of the phase transition points, the results show characteristic behaviors corresponding to the phase transition types.
